Robert Sylvester was born and raised in Plaistow, New Hampshire. After serving four years in the Air Force he pursued his bachelor’s degree in nursing from Westminster College and graduated in 2009. Soon thereafter he started graduate school at the University of Colorado, completing his degree in 2013 as a pediatric nurse practitioner. He is currently pursuing his doctorate degree in nursing. Robert holds a part-time faculty position at the University of Utah educating future nurse practitioners and he volunteers at the Maliheh Free Clinic in Millcreek, Utah. He has special interests in obesity, nutrition, mental health, pulmonary disease, trauma, and helping to educate families on common childhood issues and well-being. He is a board certified pediatric nurse practitioner and member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. In his spare time he enjoys gardening, reading, cooking, and hiking/camping or backcountry skiing with his family.
